Michael D. Winkle was born and raised in northeastern Oklahoma, eventually receiving a BA in English from Oklahoma State University. He has worked in library, bookkeeper, and data entry positions as well as "writer experience" jobs ranging from car washer to postal worker. He has had thirty short stories and one previous non-fiction book (I Heard of That Somewhere, American Hauntings Ink) professionally published.
