Author/Illustrator
David J. Hardie has always been obsessed with drawing highly detailed creatures of all types. What started out as an endorphin rush from friend’s compliments in junior high turned into an actual job in adulthood. Working as a graphic designer at a local screen-printing shop in Western Pennsylvania, David fell in love with the idea of putting his artwork on apparel and selling it to folk. While slinging his own T-Shirts at various Comic Book conventions he realized that people loved his Bigfoot shirts the most. Eventually at the request of many West Virginia natives David would draw “the coolest, Mothman he could” and put it on a shirt. It sold out again and again. Then at one fateful convention Danny “Uncle Machete” Trejo himself walked up and bought the Mothman shirt while telling David “You have the coolest shirts I’ve ever seen.” With that indelible celebrity endorsement David would seek to put all sorts of dynamically posed cryptids and creatures on shirts for people to buy.
David now tours the country with his amazing wife and three awesome children, selling shirts and speaking at festivals.
