Author, researcher, investigator, speaker
Brent Raynes has been in the UFO field for over 55 years, beginning at age 14. He is the editor of Alternate Perceptions (apmagazine.info) magazine, which began back in 1985 as a 4-page newsletter called ParaUfology Forum. It covers a full spectrum of anomalous phenomena that fall beneath the broad umbrella of the paranormal. Brent is the author of Visitors from Hidden Realms (2004), On The Edge of Reality (2009), and John A. Keel: The Man, The Myths, and the Ongoing Mysteries (2019). He contributed an extensive chapter to the Dr. Edgar Mitchell's FREE (Foundation for Research into Extraterrestrial and Extraordinary Experiences) massive volume Beyond UFOs (2018) dealing with modern and pre-1947 UFO-type phenomena of significant high strangeness, like the 1917 "Dance of the Sun" at Fatima, Portugal where an estimated 70,000 had been gathered due to alleged messages received by a group of children from a Marian apparition. He has met and interviewed witnesses from Maine to California, up in Canada, and in various foreign countries as far away as the Seychelle Islands in the Indian Ocean and Ethiopia. Brent has known and worked with many prominent people in the UFO field, including Betty Hill, Dr. Berthold Schwarz, Dr. Greg Little, Dr. R. Leo Sprinkle, Earl Neff, and many others.
