When you tell your children at night that monsters don't exist, are you being truthful? We tend to believe that monsters and ghouls simply exist in folklore, or perhaps that's simply what we want to believe.
Bigfoot is described as a simian-like creature that is said to inhabit forests, especially in the Pacific Northwest of American. Bigfoot is usually described as a large, hairy humanoid. Researchers have stated that if there are so many credible eyewitnesses across the country, then the species they describe so consistently must exist.
A truck driver was loading his big-rig full of Idaho potatoes early in the morning on January 8th. He saw something out of the corner of his eye that appeared to be a deer staring at him. When he flashed on the high beams, the creature darted across the road and he was able to tell it was between 8 to 10 feet tall and weighed between 600 and 800 pounds. It was certainly no deer. His account convinced this avid huntsman about the existence of Bigfoot.
It's not simply the accounts of eyewitnesses we have to relay on this creatures' existence. There have been photographs (although blurry) and mysterious footprints.
It's not just Bigfoot that has left to storybooks and has been seen in real-life situations. It is believed that other monsters such as werewolves, strange energy forms, and lizard people. In her book, Monsters Among Us, Linda Godfrey delves into the history of these creatures.
