Ghost & Poltergeist Phenomena

Tonight, my special guest is Randy Liebeck, a renowned paranormal researcher and field investigator whose work bridges the gap between science and the supernatural. For decades, Randy has explored ghost and poltergeist phenomena across the United States and Great Britain—using both advanced detection technology and sharp investigative insight to separate fact from fiction.
Randy’s career spans consulting for major media and academic institutions, including appearances and advisory roles on hit shows like Unsolved Mysteries, Sightings, and Dead Famous: Ghostly Encounters. His research has been featured in FATE Magazine, Ghost! Magazine, and numerous international publications.
In this episode, we discuss:
- What defines a true haunting versus a psychological or environmental anomaly
- How poltergeist activity may be linked to human consciousness and emotion
- The most compelling cases from Randy’s decades of fieldwork
- How television and science often interpret hauntings very differently
- The evolving field of parapsychological research and its future
Randy also shares stories from his investigations and insight into the challenges of working between skepticism, science, and the unexplained.
